Package delivery problems (Long)

Contributor: Love Obsessed Love Obsessed
Okay,I don't know if this is in the right place but,I'm having problems with my package that I just recently ordered being delivered. It's not Eden's problem it's a lazy mail man's problem. It says he left a notice but,he hasn't left a damn thing. If I see this one more time I'm going to scream.

The first time it was about three hours before that he brought the mail so there's no way he left it out there then.He just writing down that he left a note when he didn't.

To finally get the the point since there's no note left and I know he's going to be doing the same thing today I don't know how to get the package.Should I go to my local post office or the big one downtown so that I can help him do his job.And if you made it this far I'm wondering will there be any situation where they have to know the contents of the package. It's just a whip nothing to be embarrassed about but,I'd like to know.

Is it USPS or UPS? USPS is fairly decent because they will leave your package with your mail or at the door when they deliver the regular mail. It's UPS that has all the problems of not delivering, losing, or dumping it into the bushes.

It's by USPS there's a UPS guy that's know how to deliver.

Ah, okay. Might be good to go to the post office and hunt them down.

Put a not on your mailbox (where he delivers the regular mail that says) I'm home---knock!

Lots of times they just assume people work first shift and won't answer so they don't bother to knock. Let him know that he's frustrating you by not leaving a note or knocking, and he should shape up.

Leaving a note in the mailbox sounds like a good idea, if you dont get it again today I would call your local post office with the tracking number and ask to speak to a supervisor. Normally if my package doesn't fit in my mail box kiosk which is down the street from my actual house, my mailman just leaves it on the porch, no knock, no notice. It sounds like you have a lazy mailman, you might have to sort it out with a supervisor at the post office, at least you might get some suggestions from the post office in what to do to make sure you get any future packages on the first delivery attempt, whether it's leaving a note that says 'leave package at front door' (which is what I do for ups for some orders) or arranging to pick up at the post office. I hope you get it resolved and get your goodies soon.

I think they only come 3 times and then it's returned to the sender. If this is the case (and I'm not sure) you might want to just go to the post office to pick it up so you don't lose it.

I would call the post office. He's either attempting delivery to the wrong house, or he's not doing his job. If you wait for him to deliver it today, they may start the return-to-sender process before you have a chance to go pick it up.

A note would be a good idea but,I would have to do it in marker on a poster for him to read it.I honestly don't think he's even getting out of the truck with the package at all.I have my blinds open and I haven't seen the truck in front of the door nor him handling a package.Last week he did the knock an run.He come up to the door with my package I hardly had time to cover my breast and answer the door. When I went to the door he was already back in the truck with my package in the back.I had to call him back.

I'm wondering is he getting some sort of sexual thrill from the content of my mail because he isn't even bringing this one.I don't want a whip that's been wrapped around some strange guys dick. It's almost 11:45 am right now what I'm going to do is pretty much sit outside from twelve to five so that I can tell him to his face to stop masturbating to my packages long enough to bring it.I'm going to be getting my packages by UPS in the future which is what I have been doing before.

It's a serious issue if he knows what's inside the package. Since we are nice and discreet, he wouldn't know it just by looking, he'd have to open to find out. I think a note is a wise idea, but the post office you'd want to contact is YOUR local post office. They'd be the only ones who could help. The big one downtown will most likely give you a run around. Good luck!

I think it's a lazy postman. I've had this done to me before. Call USPS and they are usually pretty nice and will put in a notice for delivery again. I think this notice will be a wake-up call for the delivery man to actually do his job. I usually got my stuff the very next day after I did that.

So I called to get my package delivered again but, even though they said tomorrow I felt like it would be out for delivery again today already.I have been sitting outside for the last almost three hours because I was going to get my things today and I did.I got two packages today it was opened but,I got it.

I agree!! We had a horrid delivery person that would toss mail on the side of the road or into the creek.

It was opened?! I'd be calling the post office flipping the heck out. He should lose his job on the spot. That is a federal offence!

Wow, it was opened?! How awful!

Yes, I'd definitely be calling the post office and complaining.

UPS is such a pain. But surprisingly, today the delivery man placed it under my table.

Yep,it was opened and you could clearly see what was inside. The whip that I ordered was seal in the bag well, enough that I don't think it was actually taking out but,the box was open so much it may as well not even been in a box.I could just reach my hand in there.

Hmmm.... report him. I know the feeling of lazy mail men! Mine used to totally demolish my packages--destroyed over $100 worth of my college course materials and random purchases! Maybe he's just being lazy, but I don't know any other way to get him off his a** besides calling on him or reporting him. YOU have to fill out a form online, but it's simple.

Wow, you need to report that jerk! People like this shouldn't be hired to deal with people's mail.

I would contact your local post office and discuss the matter with them. If you don't alert the postmaster, nothing will change.

However, I would point out that boxes can sometimes be "opened" because of how they're stacked on the truck. Did the tape look cut? Was the box crushed in any way?

I was outside when he came up and was handed the box if it was opened like it had been cut open and it was pushed back together like I couldn't see it,I would be in jail right now.It was opened on the side and pulled back.I didn't see it until I brought it in the house because of the way he gave it to me and I was carrying two packages and other mail so I really didn't feel it.

I don't care about a mailman or other postal worker looking in my package. There's always a possibility of it happening.I got one a couple of weeks ago that looked like it had been opened and retaped.I do care about someone using my things or not getting it all because they don't want to deliver it.

Unless you are from outside the US and have to deal with your countries custom agents, I could understand the opening of a package. BUT, its against the law for someone to open up another persons mail. Unless you got a note on your package saying that for some reason it was damaged in transit (I've had this happen to me w/ letters and such, they end up putting it in another envelope w/ an appology), then there wasnt any damage from it being sent.

If he's cutting YOUR boxes, imagine how many other people this is happening to? Something needs done. There could be things getting stolen, or god knows what else.
