Nothing BUT Tampons..since I was a young teen. No desire for anything else.

The first time I got my period, there was only tampons around, so I just have always used them. Pads just seem so messy to me.

Tampons.

I haven't had a period in over a year thanks to Mirena, but when I used to, I had to use both. My periods made me hurt all throughout my body and certain days tampons or diva cup were too excruciatingly painful to wear.

No need, no bleeding (Mirena).
This brings up a good idea for another poll, to see what proportion of women are aware of the various birth control methods that will cause you to not have a period (e.g. Mirena, continuous pill, continuous Nuva Ring), and how this knowledge influences women's choices both in choosing birth control method and in choosing whether or not to have a period(e.g. some may not want hormonal birth control, some may like a monthly period to show they are not pregnant, etc.).

I feel like pads are gross. I wouldn't date someone that wore pads either. For me it's a hygiene issue. Thats my personal choice and one that feel so strongly about that I cant date a pad user. Unless something happened and they cant...even then I would consider it carefully

I use a Diva cup, tampons dry me out BAD and pads stink. I do use pads sometimes when I am so heavy I dont even want to get out of bed. but its rare.

I love love love my cup though!

I usually use both. Tampon with a thing pad. I don't use tampons by themselves because they always leak on me, so I need a pad underneath. If things are relatively light, I use a thin pad only. I really hate those thick pads that feel like diapers and I'll only buy those super thin ones.

always tampons and the occasional panty liner. Pads make me feel awful...I've been wanting to get a diva cup for a while now. Might be time to get one.

I started swimming competitively a few years before I hit puberty, and so during meets I pretty much had no choice but to use tampons, and as soon as my mother let me I switched over to them completely. No matter what I try I just can't get pads to stay in place - I fidget and move around a lot, and inevitably they bend out of the way or something and I ruin my clothes
Plus, I'm super paranoid about people seeing the outline of my pad through my clothes, even if I'm wearing, say, thick sweatpants. That's just me though! I know a few women who use natural sea sponges, and they all swear by 'em.

Tampons! Pads feel so bulky and cumbersome.

Tampons always, for me. I've been thinking of going the menstrual cup route, since I don't like the way tampons dry me out after a while (other than that I don't feel them at all). I can't do pads though. The messy diaper feel combined with the fact that they never feel secured in place is just distracting and makes the whole experience of bleeding out of the crotch even more unpleasant than it already is. Tampons are no mess, no fuss, and I don't have to worry about moving around. Just pop it in and forget about it.

I can't stand tampons. Pads are problematic too, though. I'm trying out the Diva cup.
