I prefer pens when writing just about anything. Pencils bleed off onto other papers and eventually can wear away with time. Which do you prefer?

I prefer pens.

I'm in school taking notes, so I have to do a lot of erasing!

9 times out of 10 I use pens. But there are certain things I always use pencils for... especially if there's a chance I'll need to erase something.

I like pens. They flow smoother, and I like the idea of staining my paper dark with my words or scribbles. But I write faster and messier, so it's a bit of a trade off.

pens for regular stuff, pencil for the scheduler.

Pens!

Pens at work (I'm a server), but pencils for school. I tend to make a lot of mistakes when I take notes, so pencils are just easier.

depends on what I am writing

Pens, preferably .07mm gel ones. They're great for writing small or sketching in tiny details.

I prefer pens- I'm weird about textures, and pencils kinda squick me out.
12/08/2011
Pens. But only the expensive pens. Can't stand ballpoint pens.

Pens! Pencils really bother me... I'm odd.

Definitely pens. I have this weird quirk, where I get overly excited about going school supply shopping. Its all about the colored pens, I have a collection of them. Helps with doodling in my margins while taking notes in class so I don't fall asleep. Plus there is something nice about writing in a fresh notebook.

It depends, usually pencils though.

I use pens & mechanical pencils.
12/08/2011
I prefer keyboards, but use pens otherwise.

I'll always choose pens over pencils. Pens write smoother and when I use pencils I usually end up with lead smudges all over my hand.
12/08/2011
If i write with pencils, I only use the really fine-tip automatic ones. I'm talking 0.5mm, not 0.7mm (yes, I'm that particular!) Otherwise, writing with any other pencil--no matter how fancy or glittery--just feels like I'm writing with a tree trunk!

It has to be black pens and medium. I hate blue pens with a passion. Don't ask me why.
12/08/2011
Pens all the way.

I used to always use pencil, but now it's always pen. College notes are much more effective when they're not fading or smeared.

sharpie pens, or just sharpies. i love silver sharpies, although i don't know why.
12/12/2011
math grl! we always had to use pencil!
12/12/2011
I always enjoyed having my mechanical pencil around.
12/12/2011
pens

Pens for writing anything, because they are permanent. I draw with pencils.
12/13/2011
Pens all day erryday.

I like to write with mechanical pencils, cause I like a sharp point.

A nice, smooth pen.

Pencils are annoying and require too much upkeep, imho

I was tempted to check the last option, just because I've been forced to sign more than one check with a marker because I'm so bad with pens.

I prefer pens but crayons are a close second! I love coloring
12/15/2011
I love using pens, even if I'm constantly messing up and having to scribble things out.
