When I got it home and took it out of the bag it was so carefully placed in and transported home.....the movements from the dirt road washboards, bumps and everything else--even though I drove sooo carefully---slid the cake to one side of the box and stripped the frosting off!!!!! Dang it!!!
Pet peeves!!! I was just reminded about why I never buy a bakery made cake....

We had friends unexpectedly coming over right after work--her birthday and I was working so I did not have a chance to make her a cake. I did manage to fix it with cream cheese frosting I was able to mix and spread on there...finished just as they drove up!!

That sucks! Luckily, my guy is a fan of non-traditional cakes, like flour-less fudge with no frosting and I rather have a cannoli! We both despise fronting, so it makes decorating as simple as a little drawn icing.
