All those poor lions, tigers, and bears shot down in Ohio. Do you think ANYONE should personally be able to by these kinds of exotic "pets"?

Is there ANY reason for individuals in the USA to own LIONS, TIGERS, BEARS and other large, dangerous "pets" of this nature? The tragic release of these animals into a community in Ohio and the subsequent shooting of them all was SUCH a waste of life and a great tragedy, it hurts my heart to watch it on the news.

Should such "exotics" be allowed into private hands, or outlawed as they are in MOST of the USA?

I don't think these animals should be kept or bred. :/

I don't think that large animals should be kept as pets, especially not WILD animals.

I don't believe that individuals should be buying or keeping any "wild" animal, regarless of size. We have a wildlife sanctuary near here, and they frequently recover large and small wild animals from all over the U.S. They don't breed the animals, only try to provide them a living environment where they can be themselves. They currently have over 100 acres of space, and are adding more.

Responsible wildlife santuaries getting to keep animals? Fine with me.

But ordinary people? Fuck no! They're called "wild animals" for a reason! Tiger cubs, for example, are adorable but they still have that feisty tiger spirit even at their young age. Plus, these animals are big and very expensive to take care of.

I love wild animals, but I respect their space. If I want to hug one, that's what plushies are for.

I don't feel that they should be kept unless for the safety of the animal. If it was severely injured and needs to be cared for, that is one thing. To wake up one day and say "I feel like owning a tiger today", now that is just wrong!

no, I think wild animals should be out in the wild.
