I don't think it's weird...maybe I'm an older woman and think differently than some of the younger generation? In fact, I believe it's a good idea for inexperienced people to watch softcore porn, so they can gain some sex-related knowledge from them.

I don't see why it would be "weird" for a woman to watch porn, as many men enjoy porn.
Not everybody digs it, but I don't think it makes any difference according to gender.

(Actually, I watched it when I was much younger, then stopped when I had kids, then picked it up again in the last few years, around the time we discovered sex toys.) Shit, I was offended by everything when I was younger. I've lightened up a LOT, and realized I was causing myself a lot of stress by all the "offense" I was taking to things.
My Man and I watch in in cycles. We may go a month of more and not watch any, and then watch it a lot in cycles. He's always liked it, so it's easier now that I'm more into it. It's weird, because my fantasies were so similar to a lot of porn, but I wouldn't watch it. Now, it isn't a problem.

I don't think it's weird in the least, I mean it's not everyone's cup of tea but it's certainly not weird.
Heck, I tend to keep two or three of the months porn selections bookmarked on VOD to watch later. xD
(we get the movie channels like HBO and Cinemax that show porn late at night, so our on demand version of them has porn too)

I don't think it's weird, but I do assume that 'they', 'those people', 'others' do. I've found that most of my male friends will get up in arms if someone says girls shouldn't watch porn or don't.

Well, we don't have any porn. I've never felt comfortable enough to watch it with my husband for some reason. I know he's watched it and I know he looks at pics.
Now, once in awhile I'll check out a small clip or when we had cable I'd catch some on HBO and Showtime once in awhile. What I think is weird (about myself) is that I'm straight but, when I catch a clip I prefer to see girl on girl.

The only thing that would make it "weird" is that it's not currently a social norm for women to watch porn - there's no biological difference between women & men that makes one get aroused by visual aids considerably more than the other.

Nope, I don't think it's weird at all. It can be a little frustrating when one realizes that so much porn is made with a straight male audience in mind, but there are plenty of really cool feminist and woman-run porn companies that are trying to shift that balance.

I don't think it's weird at all! I think it's a common misconception that women aren't visually stimulated. Therefore, everyone believes that ALL women aren't aroused by sexy images - like porn. I'm definitely a challenge to that theory!
