This is a complaint thread of sorts. A first-world problem is something like:

"It's raining out and I can't decide which galoshes to wear today; the pink ones or the purple-spotted ones, oh the horror!"

Similar to a "fuck my life" thread, but more...*mumbles something about whiny and entitlement*

(Please note this is just a thread to blow of a little steam, it's not meant to imply anyone feels entitled or anything like that. Just a little Valentine's Day humor for everyone.)

Well, it's Valentine's Day and I have a gigantic red mark on my forehead from god-only-knows-what. We're going out to dinner tonight and just blah! Why today hormones?!

Of course today would be rainy and humid (Florida) so I can't do much with my hair since it has difficultly holding a curl to begin with. (At least C and I are going out tonight, despite being "on break".)

Oof! I hate hate hate hate hate Florida's weather. Walk around feeling all stuck and wet. My grandmother used to have the same problem, until she picked up a set of those wire curlers. You know the ones with the plastic case that snaps over the top? She would thoroughly wet her hair, then applied a layer of mousse to the strands she wanted to roll at that moment, spray with a hint of hairspray once clipped into place. She let it air dry for about two hours, then hit it with the blow dryer to finish it up. She said the key was not to unroll the hair until it had completely cooled to avoid frizzing while brushing it out. I have no idea if that will help you, but there ya go!

Yes, it really is like that here - I have no clue as to why people want to move here.

The sponge curlers I have are too tight for my hair length (I'd look exactly like Little Orphan Annie), so it has to be by curling iron. Mom's talking hairspray THEN iron ... I just colored it, I don't think my hair can take any more processing at this time. (Speaking of first world problems.)

Oooh, I hate to be a debbie downer, but recently color-treated locks do not hold curl anyway.

Last night my car broke down after work so I had to pay for a middle-of-the-night tow and it's in for repairs today. Now I have to take the bus for free or walk all around town. Oh woe is me.

Oh that's not first world, that's a legit "this is gonna suck" problem. I hope it all get worked out quickly.

Well yesterday for Valentines day I get a phone call from my driver that picks me up for physical therapy. That they can't pick me up anymore because of insurance issues. I was heated and I told them they won't be seeing me until it is nice out. It is just too cold to walk in this weather and I am in pain when I get there by time I get home I will be in pain again. What is the point? I am getting sick of this place I am so ready to move.

i'm starving...don't know what to eat. too many options and don't feel like making anything. i wish someone would just show up with some home made noodles, mashed potatoes and gravy...and then feed it too me.

My favorite pair of jeans have finally died in the crotch (you women know that lovely threadbare state they get in the crotch if you have lush thighs), and the only place I can find the same brand/size/etc is on eBay, and the sellers there only take PayPal. I don't have a bank account to put anything into Paypal, so I can't get my favorite brand of jeans to replace these until I get employment and open a bank account.

It may be an equipment error. Have you reset your box? Also give them a call you may not be getting all the bandwidth you are paying for.

My laptop was really expensive and I have to take it in several time a month to be cleaned because it makes it run faster and smoother when I am playing my favorite MMORPG. The problem is it means I cannot play the MMORPG during the two hours it takes so I can't level my char and I miss out on the drops I might be getting. ~sigh
