Which is your most preferred background color for websites? :)

My Master says that white disturbs His Eyes for example, so He prefers to look at dark backgrounds...

For me white is alright because that way it's easier to see stuff when you are typing...

What is your preferred background color for sites?

I prefer gray. It is light enough to be able to see things, but dark enough that the bright white doesn't bother my eyes.

Light colors. White doesn't bother me but I hate dark colors with white text.

Agreed. It's annoying to have dark colors... looks so depressing.

Light colors with dark text. I'm a graphic designer and the purpose of a website is to convey information. Light background with dark text is high contrast and easy to read.

Black backgrounds, personally. I get migraines due to light, and white backgrounds are harsh on my eyes and can trigger headaches.

I prefer darker cause sometimes white can over-glare writing I'm trying to focus on. White is very in-ya-face and full on.

Light colors, usually white.

I have migraines, too. Black or red backgrounds with white lettering gives me a migraine. My husband also hates these colors because he has presbyopia (meaning he needs reading glasses, due to aging of his eyes) and the coloring bothers him. He also became more sensitive to colors and florescent lights when he had Lasix years ago.
