Price of on-site laundry at your apartment?

Contributor: sunflower sunflower
What is the price of coin-operated laundry machines at your apartment building? Is it cheaper than going to a laundromat?

At the old apartment complex it was $1.50 for a wash but there were no coin machines or anything.
At my new place it's $1.25 so it's $2.50 a full load
I know at some places friends have rented at it can be up to $3

I can't remember as I have only used them twice -- once with a huge rug that wouldn't fit in my machine & once when my machine broke. It was at least 1.25 per load though & I believe at least $1 for drying the damn things too. Lol. Never do I want to have to spend that much time at a laundromat again. So time consuming!

I've always lived in shared homes, apartments with laundry machines or duplexes that have them included. Thank god! I mean we end up paying for it through the energy/water bills anyways, but still it's nice to have them at home.

Four dollars per one wash, 3 dollars for an hour of drying. Damn Australia.

When we were living in our apartment, three years ago, it was $1 per wash and dry. I'm glad we have our washer and dryer now. Even though it probably still costs close to the same to do all of our laundry, at least I don't have to deal with quarters.

1.50 for the wash and 1.50 for the dry. Needless to say, I take my laundry to my mom's house. It would kill me with a toddler to do so much laundry at a steep price. In college, we had 25 cent laundry days once a month.

We live in an old house that was converted into two apartments so there isn't any on-site laundry. We do however own our own washer and we use the landlord's dryer until we can buy our own.

We don't have one in our building. But I go to my parents house to do my wash. I do buy from time to time detergent.

I also live in an old house that has been converted into apartments! There are 5 apartments here but there is a washing machine and dryer in the creepy unfinished Michigan Basement.
