I have many sapphires, the mine is just up the road from my house. I have bought the gravel bags, raw buckets and also played at the mine. I admit--I prefer the big bucket, in a bag and going through it at home. My collection measures about 1/2 cup.

I would love to be able to find my own stones. My step-dad knows how to cut, polish and set stones to make jewelry.

I once went through a bucket of mined dirt, but all I found was some quartz.

Nah, all I have is a large collection of quartz I find whenever we take my mom's bf's father down to the fishing pond he likes.
Although a few of them are the size of a fist, so that's pretty cool. :3

I love finding sparkly rocks. xD

Not the mine itself--but outside the mine there is the gift shop & jewelry store, a small park and the PUBLIC work area. Sorry I was not too clear on that, lol!!

Always been a dream of mine to do a mining trip. In fact my ex husband and I wanted to do it for our honeymoon that never happened. I still want to sometime.
