Sadly, this singer with a lovely voice committed suicide yesterday at her home. Her long time boyfriend had killed himself a month before in the same spot and her children were taken away from her due to her neglect of them which stemmed from her own depression.

Tragically, no one saw this coming and help was not on its way for Ms. McCready...even though this was not the first time she had tried to commit suicide. Unfortunately, she left behind two beautiful boys who will miss their mom in the years to come.

I wish her the peace she never found here on earth, may her Ten Thousand Angels be by her side and help her look after the family she left behind.

I agree. It's so sad for her and her children. What a voice though!

No one saw this coming? She tried to kill herself in 2005 and 2008. I suspect her DUI was an attempted suicide as well.

The unfortunate truth of the matter is that those who are determined to end their lives will do just that.

i feel for the kid ppl who do this must not ever think what its going to do to there loved ones left here to deal with it.so sad

i agree. they probably saw this coming because they removed her kids from the house. it sucks that she couldn't live for them but she chose to end her life. poor kids.

It was very sad. and i was honestly a bit shocked to hear about it. But she is in a better place i suppose.

Well, I think primarily the children are young enough to where this will have a minimal impact. I mean, the woman shot her dog first and that is what I find more disturbing than her taking her own life. Her father had been with her up until moments before. She was found hiding in a closet after being accused of kidnapping her children...to say this woman wasn't stable would be the understatement of the year. She hadn't worked in years so money was probably extremely tight. She surrounded herself with people who had the same will to live that she did...the warning signs were definitely there. I agree that's why the children were removed. Unfortunately, for the rest of their lives they'll have the internet to remind them of all the bad things she did and none of the good.
