I have vision problems (a scar from a corneal ulcer) that make me highly sensitive to light, so driving at night (especially if it's raining) just makes me really anxious. I'd much rather travel during the day, even if there's traffic.

We almost always take our trips during the day. (For some reason, My Man feels the need to get up at 5:00 AM when we go somewhere.)

I do like driving at night on occasion, especially if we are on our way home. My brother lives about an hour drive from our house, and I always drive home (my brother "forces" My Man to do shots... eye roll) and as long as there isn't any weird accidents or anything, I don't mind. (As long as he keeps his hands on his side of the car. He grabbed the gear shift once when I was driving and he has an edict that he has to keep his hands away from the shift and the wheel when I am driving.)

I like to drive at night. If I am going to or home from NJ which is a 12 or more hour long drive I go at night less traffic. and I can get home faster.

We prefer to drive when there is light, nighttime driving is dangerous especially when we're driving on curvy mountain roads.

I like both. If I need to be paying attention to detailed instructions so as I don't miss a turn off and all that (especially when I might not see it at night), then day. But if it's a long drive on more heavily populated roads, I prefer night because it's not as busy.

I'm a chicken, so it seems safer to drive when you can see well and are less likely to be tired... but then there are more folks on the road, it's true. It's also hard during the day because when you finally do get in for the time, you're worn out and might miss out on some good nookie

I have trouble seeing at night and it's not a fun drive unless you are going somewhere you don't usually go. So it's better during the day

I like night, especially when my kids were little and could sleep. Used to drive from North Dakota to Colorado alot when they were 2 and 7, this way they could sleep and leave me be. I still prefer the night even though they are 16 and 21.
