Sexual Advances

My husband and I were out at our local watering hole yesterday, just watching some football. Someone sat beside us and struck up a conversation. About half way into it, I realized that we were being hit on as a couple. The week before that, we were up there and I was outside having a quick ciggy and a woman approached me and struck up a conversation and then commented on my eyes. (Which, like never ever happens.) I was flattered and flabbergasted all at once. (I don't get hit on directly very often.)

My husband was oblivious to the situation, and I was left to wonder what signals we were sending that I wasn't aware of. In the end, I chuckled about it as it's no big deal but it got me wondering about other people. Especially fellow Edenites.

So, are you able to recognize when you are being hit on in a not-so-obvious manner? Has there ever been an occasion where you thought you were being hit on, responded in kind only to learn that you weren't being hit on?

I suck at being hit on. I never realize it until after the fact, or after they start making some serious advances. I've always had a flirty personality, so I don't always think about what signals I may accidentally be sending. A few weeks ago I was at my friend's birthday party and she wanted to go out to a club, so we went, and I was sitting there waiting for my friend to get back from the car with my not heels and this guy comes up behind me and is all "are you ready to dance in that pretty dress of yours?" and after 3 "what?"s from me and a few more failed attempts to be smooth (because I just wasn't getting it) I was all "waiting for shoes, can't dance" and showed the guy my feet lol. I didn't quite figure it out until after I heard one of my friends be all "way to hit on the one married person in the group, buddy." I chuckled heartily as I texted my husband.

I've never been in a club, but that would probably be me too because I'm not used to getting hit on either. Unless it's comments from my best guy friends about being cute or sexy, but they know I'm married and they can get away with it since they're my best friends and know there's boundaries there.
