Sexy sheets, which kind and where to buy

Contributor: Howells Howells
I bought a memory topper 2 3/8" onto my Euro king 79x63" and 8 1/4" tall mattress. I was told I shouldn't use a mattress cover with the new layer because it limits the good feeling of the memory effect. Nowadays I only sleep on the mattress cover because it is attached to the mattress at the corners with some flexible material and does not move much.

So I need to get sheets from now on. I decided not to look for the usual white dull stuff, but rather buy something nice and soft. I'd like a deep purple fitted version. The edges of that go below the mattress. I narrowed it down to 100% Egyptian cotton with high thread count, a "jersey" type (t-shirt maybe), or flannel. My plan is to buy one and wash it every week. Maybe it'll become dull on the long run but I can't afford multiple ones or sets right now. They are around $80-160 each (the Egyptian).

Jersey

I had my share with regular "100% cotton" that was so rough that my knee chafed during sleep and it bled and I had its place for 1-2 weeks. That's not soft by any means.. I don't like it. I had 100% poly which was amazingly soft, not sure how. I don't mind if it's warm (can't let air through or just plain thick). I like the cover of the memory that is super duper but I need to put sheets on it

So the questions are:

Which material do you think is the softest? Even to lay on it naked at night.

Do you think choosing a dark color is bad for sexual clean up purposes? I already got a liberator shag throe for those events as well.

Would you sleep in a bed that has purple sheets? Girls, is that a turn-on?

Where to get these? I'm not from the USA so don't tell me walmart or things like that, I can only shop online. But if you know a specific brand to look for, I'm interested.

Thanks!

I wouldn't mind purple sheets but I might find it odd for a guy. That's kind of sexist though. not a deal breaker. Not necessarily a turn on but I might be intrigued if you've got a theme going in the room. Domesticity is neat.

I've had both light and dark sheets and a wet spot is noticable on all of them but it shouldn't be deal if you have a throw.

I'm not a fan of the jersey type myself. They hold their shape weird and I prefer silky over that sort of soft.

I had a higher count cotton that felt like heaven though!

Thanks for your post!

Well I got an entire big wall that is deep rich purple, kind of a big surface, I got the tv at it and a fireplace (not that fancy and doesn't work, duh). And light wooden furniture and bamboo flooring, these all look awesome and lighter when purple is put next to them.

My favorite color is purple and I seem to be meeting with girls who like purple too But basically I just don't want white sheets. I think red would be more sexist but I couldn't stand it. I'm a straight guy, why is purple weird

Cotton with a high thread count (upwards of 800) is the best, in my opinion. I love the feel of soft, soft sheets. I usually sleep naked on them because it feels so good on my skin.

I have a set of black sheets, and they collect lint like crazy. I don't have that problem with my other darker colored sheets, but yes, they can get stained spots.

You didn't mention them, but I will add that I am not crazy about satin/silk sheets. They slide off the bed too often.

Yes that's why I left the satin/silk out.
