Shoes or no shoes?

Contributor: Missmarc Missmarc
I fell in love with a pair of flats while shopping a sale online. I really need a pair of flats and I've gone through all flats from Saks, bloomingdales and Nordstrom. This is the one I decided to settle with.

Just as I was about to order it, my size (7) went out of stock. They still have every other size in stock. They are 180 dollars after the 2 promotional codes I have (originally $250). My boyfriend suggested ordering the 7.5 and put padding in it. I been a firm 7 for as long as I can remember, and I am positive 7.5 is going to be a little big.

What do you guys think I should do?

Seems like alot of money to me for a pair of shoes that may not fit. Do they have a return policy?

Yep, they do have a return policy. I can bring it back to the physical store or mail it back.

If you know they're going to be a little big, I'd just wait until they're back in stock and order them in a 7.

Order the 7.5 and see if they fit. If they don't, you can easily return them and get your money back.

I voted to save it...but knowing that they have that type of a return policy, I would order the 7.5

For that price, I'd hold out for the right size.

I say wait. I've gotten shoes I loved to bits before even though they weren't my size and, unless the shoe is built a certain way, padding them is pretty uncomfortable. I mean, I can get away with wearing two pairs of socks in some pairs but padding shoes you don't wear with socks isn't fun. I hope they come back in stock, like, really soon!

I'd wait, personally. The shoes may be cute, but if they don't fit properly, you won't want to wear them.

For that price, you better wait to order something you know will fit.

Wow. That is an insane price for a pair of shoes. I thought $60 was a lot. I guess I am cheap. I would never spend that much money on shoes.

I wouldn't buy something to big, it isn't worth it... maybe wait for the shoes to come back in stock?

Holy crap, 250 for a pair of flats? I'm just flabbergasted by that lol. Personally I would wait around for your size to come back in stock if you know for sure the 7 would fit better than the 7.5.

You could buy it and return it when the size 7 comes back in stock and still get your sale...

Thank you guys for voting!

Just to update the thread. A few hours after I posted the thread. I checked the site, the size 7 was back in stock. So I ordered it. I will get it on Monday. I will try it out, if it doesn't fit well, I will return it. The store I bought it from has a forever return policy

As far as paying $250 or $180 for a pair of shoes. I feel that if people can buy a Jopen Intensity for 249.99 (this is something with only 90 days warranty), that price seems a lot less ridiculous for a pair of shoes. As much as I love toys, I am in my shoes a lot longer everyday than using toys. That's just my way of looking at it.

If the size didn't came back, you could have ordered 7.5 and put something in your shoes so that they fit, either a dead tight or something made specially for the purpose you can usually buy in drug store, but I forgot the name...

I'm happy you got the ones you wanted! Personally, I'm not into "dainty" shoes, so if I really wanted flats, I probably would look for a nice knock-off pair for a quarter of the price. Though I will pay top dollar for my Doc Martens and my Birkenstocks. Go figure!

$180 for a pair of flats is a lot in my opinion...I'm sure there are many great alternatives out there.
