I like being on the outside. I get up a lot and usually I'm working at night or doing school work late at night sometimes even until 9am so there's many times where I don't go to bed at all until I get a chance during the day for a nap. But, I'm always on the outside so I can get up and let the pets in and out, shower, go to the powder room, etc.

I am usually on the side closest to the window. I need the cool air.

I am on the right side, looking from the bottom because my b/f is right handed and it makes access more comfortable. Makes sense to us.

I don't get to pick because my husband always sleeps on the side close to the window.

Yup, always on the left side of the bed, away from the alarm clock. I like to force myself to get out of bed to turn the alarm off, otherwise I sleep right through it.

It seemed like I always had to be on the side furthest from the wall until I rearranged my room and found that I was still sleeping in the same spot on my bed even though it now was against a wall. So, I'm not really sure what my pattern is.

I don't have a side preference, but wherever I am I have to sleep next to the nightstand if there is only one. Need somewhere close for my glasses.

Yeah, Im on the inside. Its just comfier for me to be by the wall, except spiders , but occasionally he wants my side and I give it to him for a night.

I don't have a specific side of the bed, it depends on the position of the bed in the room. I pick whichever side I get drawn to first. When my husband and I had our own place for a short while I had tried explaining this to him, that because of where the bed was located I had picked the right side of the bed (while laying down), but had the bed been in a different part of the room, I'd have picked the other side.

Looking at it from the bottom of the bed, I have to be on the right side. In the house we lived in before, this was close to the door, so I could get up and get babies in the middle of the night. But, we got used to sleeping like this, so when we moved into this house, well over 10 years ago, I kept my right side of the bed. Also, the way our room is set up, that side of the bed only has about a foot and a half of room between the bed and the mirror closet door. He wouldn't fit!

Once in a while, if we've really been at it, he ends up on my side of the bed and passes out. I can't sleep! But, on the occasions when he's been out of town, I always end up on his side. *sigh* I guess it smells like him.

Even when we go away and sleep in hotels, we sleep in the same way. I am a creature of habit.
