how many of you use skype as an instant messenger? i use it to keep in touch w/ a few people, mostly as an instant messenger. i really only video chat my bf.

Been trying to talk the family into it. Since all of us live 100miles away. My parents and his mom would be able to see the kids daily if we did something like this. His mom does not even have a computer. My mom and dad want to just never got around to it.

Whenever I try to use skype, it bugs out and stops sending messages. This gets awkward when people suddenly "stop" answering although the same thing is happening on both ends.

I don't really talk to people online. Only a handful, really. Though I use skype for video calls to my girl.

I used skype a couple of times when my mother went overseas on vacation. My daughters and I talked to her.

Same as just about everyone else. Really only to video chat with my boyfriend when he's away. It was awesome when he went to visit family overseas last month.

Skype used to be a bigger part of my social scene. Now my computer doesn't like staying connected to the internet for more than three minutes at a time. So it's kind of a moot point.
