Snow?

Has it snowed yet where you live? How much snow do you typically get each winter? I can't wait for the snow! Unfortunately, eastern Pa is a hit or miss every year.

I'm near Chicago and it hasn't snowed yet. We normally get our first snow fall at the end of November or beginning of December, and I think we average a few feet of snow each year. Except this last year, where we got that one storm that gave us just under our yearly amount of snowfall in one night.

I'm in upstate NY and am NOT looking forward to the snow. None yet. We're in the process of selling our home, my husband has already relocated b/c of his job and if starts dumping, I need to somehow manage working FT, 2 young kids, maintaining the house AND shoveling.

I'm in Denver, and today it is snowing for the second time this year. I want to say though, that while it *Seems* like we get lots of snow in Denver, it is warmer here than you think, and all the snow melts one or two days after it arrives. It's so sad, because my husband and me LOVE the snow, and we're from New England where we're used to it staying on the ground through the winter. Oh well.

I moved form Thornton, so I know what you're talking about. Now I like UP north and while it does not get any colder the snow does stay. Sure miss not having to shovel. lol

Some flurries the other day but it did not stick.

No snow here yet in Jersey. Maybe December? It seems to get later and later with all this 'global warming' BS.

I'm in Eastern PA and it is supposed to snow here either Thursday or Saturday, depending on which station you listen to. I'm hoping they are all wrong and it doesn't snow yet, I'm not ready for it to be winter.

No snow yet. Last year, we got hit pretty hard. Then again, we get hit hard every year. Needless to say, I have mixed feelings about snow. It's pretty, but I hate digging my way out of it.

That storm was fun, wasn't it.

When I lived on the lakefront, (Lake Michigan, I'm near Chicago, like Sam. But, in college lived literally ON the lakefront.) We'd have lake effect snow as early as Halloween. (I remember walking to the photo lab and the library in a small snow storm one Halloween night.)

But, usually some flurries in November and then it gets down to business in late Nov and Dec through March or even May. By Feb I'm tired of it all.

It might snow here tomorrow. UGH, I am not looking forward to the snow, usually I do, but last year was brutal.

You're right! I forgot to mention that away from the Denver metro area, it does stick, but not here in the metro area.

I heard rumours about it tonight or tomorrow night.

I don't mind the snow, kinda pretty at first. It can f-off any time after January.

We had sleet yesterday, but no snow yet, though it has already started falling within an hour or two of here.

I'm in PA, too!

It's always hit or miss. Some years, we get a lot of snow, other times, very little. I think we had 5 or 6 snow days at school last year. It was awesome, because being in college means we don't have to make it up at the end!

some sleet yesterday, and we have 70 degree temps the day before. It is hit and miss with snowfall here. One year we got 2 major storms with a couple of feet each, last year...nothing. We get a lot of ice

The past couple of years it has snowed several times. Last year it snowed on Christmas Day and that was the first time in at least 15 years. The last time we had a white Christmas (until last year) was when I was real little.
