So I keep see commercials for this and seeing it in store and I found a good deal on one so I bought it. I love mine, I just want to know what you all think of them.

I don't drink soda, so it doesn't appeal to me. My brother has one, and absolutely loves it. He makes soda all the time now.

I have one and they are beyond awesome!!!!! We make our own flavors in addition to the syrups you can buy. My fave thing to do with mine is carbonate my own homemade wine... instant sparkling wine!!!
My kids favorite thing to do with it is get those flavor packets you get for single serve bottles of water (like crystal light, etc.) and make fruity flavored sodas. I love since it is sugar free!!!

I had the basic $99 sodastream. We used it a few times and then it just sat in the pantry so I sold it for $20. It was "ok" but, my flavorings expired quickly
I will say this, after I sold it, I wanted another one but, a little bit more expensive one than the basic.
Truth be told, it will end up costing more to have this machine than it is to get a 2 liter of coke.

I don't have one, but I know someone that does and he loves it! He makes all kinds of flavored sodas with different juices. It sounds pretty cool because you can make drinks that don't have a bunch of high fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners in them. I always avoid that stuff, so to me, that's the best reason to get one.

I'm curious about it. Hubby and I are nuts for sparkling water, and I hate having cans of soda all over the place. It seems like I could reduce my waste with one, but I don't have an overwhelming amount of counter space.

We just make sparkling water with ours. I like drinking half sparkling water half juice. I bought it thinking I would switch to drinking less diet coke and we would buy less canned and bottled drinks. I still drink too much diet coke!

Don't have one, but it's definitely something we're interested in. At this point we're really just waiting for the price to come down a bit. Given the amount of soda we drink in our house it would probably be a good investment.

When I first saw this thread title, I totally thought it said "Have you tried Sadomasochism?" and I was going to say "Yes!" but them I realized it was about soda. So no, I haven't tried the SodaStream, and I don't feel a particular need for one.
