I like the idea as a fantasy or consensual play (I think there are lots of opportunities for fun with that, having someone play stalker for you.) but it scares me to death if someone actually starts acting like one in real life or even online. D:

I don't really find anything hot about it. I mean in a fantasy like Gold Lion mentioned maybe, but in real life not so much.
I can be a bit paranoid about some things, so I try to keep good tabs on what information gets posted in places that can be seen, whether that be by the whole internet or by people that may end up passing information on to people I don't want knowing things. Online stalking can be really serious, but I think a lot of it isn't so much violating privacy as having poor privacy settings. Obviously that's not the case all of the time, but if you can find it on Google in less than 5 minutes and you don't have to pay or make an account and friend someone to see it, it's not stalking, even if you don't want someone specific reading it.

The idea of a stalker is not hot in my opinion. If someone has a crush, that's cute and flattering, but a stalker is just scary.

Being actually, really stalked is terrifying. There is nothing hot about it. A fantasy about it is as near to real stalking as Ravishment Play is to real rape... meaning nothing in common at all.

Stalking strips you of your right to refuse and often has zero rationale. Stalkers are rarely benign and being stalked can change who you are as a person fundamentally especially if there IS no reasonable or rational understanding of why the person chose you as a target.
I agree with Sam on the definition of stalking...if it is public access and there is a reasonable expectation that you might run into a person while doing everyday tasks it's not atalking! For instance it's not stalking if you stop at the only Supermarket in town everyday after work and you run into someone you might not like. That is called coincedence!

I've had it done to me, so no, it's not hot for me.

As a fantasy... well, the particulars would be important, but the potential for hotness is there.
In reality, though, a stalker would either have me quivering in fear or bristling in aggression, depending on who had the high ground, so to speak.

I think the reason I find stalking hot is because of my personal life. I still love the idea of it and would still probably find it cute to have a stalker.

I have had a few stalkers....not hot...but now if I know the stalker is just playing and will stop at any moment, without going physco, then it kinda is a bit hot.
