I chose Star Wars, even though I like them both. It takes me longer to get into Trek episodes and movies, so I guess I don't like it as much as I thought I did.

Agreed. I like the first three movies (as in the first three that came out first, not took place first) for Star Wars. And I like Star Trek: the Next Generation, since it aired when I was a kid and I'd watch it with my dad and it was the only series I ever really followed.

I love Star Wars and like others had mentioned, prefer the originals but the new ones are good too. I could never get in to Star Trek even though I've seen a few episodes.
