Strangest thing you have ever ate?

Contributor: Rod Ronald Rod Ronald
What is the strangest thing you have ever ate? I'm watching "Anthony Bourdain" and I seriously can not imagine eating half the stuff that guy has in his life. So, what is the most craziest thing you have ever devoured?

I'm pretty boring when it comes to food, I try not to eat anything that would make me puke.
I do eat tomato paste out of the can though, my fiance says that's pretty strange.

Actually, I envy Anthony Bourdain, I wish I can eat most of the things he had tried on his shows. I've eaten a lot of foods that's considered strange by some people who are not fortunate enough, or have an open mind to try those delicious things themselves. I like chicken/duck feet, pig brain, pig/cow intestines/stomach, thousand year old eggs, etc., all of those foods can be very tasty if they're done right. The only thing I refuse to try is cooked insects, because I hate bugs!

Octopus is the oddest thing I've ever eaten. It's quite chewy.

Haha he's not even as bad as Andrew Zimmerman. I've had Sea urchin and crocodile which is pretty strange.

I think I know what you're talking about. My mom watches a show where this bald dude travels the world eating the MOST f'd up stuff! Things my mind could never have even imagined. I love when I go over and she's all curled up watching that. We both get grossed out. And I used to think I'd eaten some really weird stuff! I have eaten a lot of weird things, but nothing like the guy you're talking about (if it's the same one I am thinking of). But the weirdest I believe, would be a chocolate covered grass hopper. Or meal-worms. I've eaten both. Not sure which was more weird. I loved the meal worms though. They were flavored with some seasoning and crunchy. I ate them for snack as a kid. I don't think I could ever eat either of them now though. I'm more sensitive to gross stuff than I used to be. LOL.

I drank a fly 2 weeks ago. Damn thing was in my coffee and I didn't know it til it was too late. Flies always find my coffee! I've eaten those tiny piss ants at least twice that I remember. God there so nasty. I hate those creatures! We had a scatter of them last summer and they'd find their way to my dr pepper every time (even the bottles with a lid!) and I didn't notice and yuck! They taste awful. They have this really strong sweet and funky taste and smell too. I accidentally drank a whole damn family of them years ago and nearly threw up.

But I guess those are the weirdest. The ants were involuntary though!

The only other weird stuff I eat is things like ketchup and plain potato chips crunched up. Or something that's just different, not totally wild.

Chocolate cover ants! My cousin tried to pass them off as chocolate covered rice crispies. I almost vomitted when I found out! And yes, they snapped, crackled and popped when you ate them.

It depends on what your definition of strange is. I frequently enjoy Eel, Octopus, Squid, and occasionally Frog Legs. (I <3 sushi and ika sansai nom nom nom). To me, the strangest thing I've eaten was Dove. And I felt really bad eating dove.
