I love stuffed toys. Stuffed animals, plushies, cartoon and video game characters. I collect goth-ish or dead themed ones, too. I sleep with the dead cat plush that Stocking, from the anime Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is always carrying around. It doubles as a sex toy pouch because of the zippered pocket on the back.

Does anyone else collect or do you like to give them as presents? Have a favorite from childhood? Any stories you'd like to share?

I love plushies! They're so soft and cute and nice to hold! But I had to get rid of most of mine - I simply had no room for them. Still have a few veterans and favorites from when I was a kid, and a few new kids as well. When anyone asks me about my plushies, I just say, "They're a source of comfort when no other is available." No one argues against that, and it's very true. Sometimes I just need something to hug.

One of my favorites is a bunny rabbit I made at Build-a-Bear on my 20th birthday. I didn't think it would end up as anything special, but lo and behold a few weeks later it had joined my big alligator as my nightly snuggle buddy. Another I have from there is a wolf that sits under my desk and gets cuddled whenever I read creepypastas.

I was very much a plushie person as a kid, and I could never bring myself to get rid of my favorites. I have a stuffed Jabberwocky that I plan to eventually use in class.

I've always loved them. I think I want to start making plushies so I can make ones that don't exist yet. Like, I really want a crocheted zombie bunny doll.

I love plushies. I am lying on the floor using my unicorn pillow pet to support my head while I type right now! I have a collection. I like to give them names and collars and name tags too. Hahaha. I have some unusual gothy ones, and lots of realistic animals, and then a huge variety of many others. I really am a "texture" person, so I often buy stuffed animals simply because they have a texture I like to touch.

I have one stuffed animal that is sentimental to me, but other than that I don't really like stuffed animals. My family had so many and they were always lying around the house. I hated it.

Ick, no. Not for me. I liked them as a child, but would much prefer playing with adult types of toys Hee Hee. I always jokingly tell my partner that if he ever bought me a stuffed animal, I'd stuff him! lOL. He thankfully, never thought that stuffed toys make good gifts for women, but it's a funny joke, especially since our guy friend always plays those darn stuffed animal crane machines and always wins! Then he gives me the freaking stuffed toy. Lol. I always smile and say thanks, but later my partner and I can't help but laugh.
