How late did you keep your favorite stuffed animal around (as in on your bed/in your bedroom, not in storage)?

My first stuffed animal unfortunately fell apart a while back. I keep other stuffed animals around, though. Right now my favorite is the Build-A-Bear monkey my sister got me to keep me company at college

He lives in a drawer (even then, my toys were men LOL!) and I take him out to show my girls from time to time. He used to have a music box, the old ones, that would have a turning thing that made little metal slits make the music. There were no electric musical toys when I was young. You have to wind it, but it must have got overwound and hasn't worked in a long time.
I have no stuffed toys now. I don't have a use for them.
I'm glad I still have him. My Man's mother threw away his "Beary" when he was at school one day. "Beary" had fallen apart and he was carrying "Beary" around in a plastic bag, and his mother, in her lack of empathy and NEED to keep things clean all the time, threw him away.
My Man still doesn't see how this traumatic event fucked him up. It's a sore point with us, his pretending his parents weren't seriously fucked up people and that it cause a LOT of problems, many of which plague him, me and our children. (Along with all the shitty abusive stuff his father did to him.) Sorry for the derail.
I think parents who throw away children's Lovies should have to go to prison. Really, or at least take a parenting and empathy course.

I personally have only kept one of my stuffed animals, and it was the one my father gave me when I was born apparently. His name is Theodore. He had a velvet nose. I rub his nose and/or is tail to put myself asleep as a wee lass. I rubbed off all the velvet. And then we got a dog and he ate the nose. But when I got married and moved out of the house, I got ride of some of my stuffed animals. My mother kept some of them in storage for when I have children.

My very loved stuffed animal was a duck. I have since substituted that for holding a pillow, even if my boyfriend is sleeping next to me. But my duck is still around somewhere.

I had a ton of stuffed animals when I was a kid. We moved when I was 11 and after that, I never really kept them on my bed or anything. I didn't really have a particular favorite, though.

I have one teddy bear sitting in my living room. It is a hand-made teddy bear that is worth over $300 and has movable joints and real leather paws. I also have one TY beanie baby in my bedroom, it's a Princess Di bear, special edition.

I was probably 15 or less. I have 2 still, but they're up on a closet shelf. In fact, I forgot I still had them until I was in there looking for something one afternoon and stumbled upon them. It was really funny.

I still have 1 from when I was a kid (and two that I have received as an adult), but when I was little I had around 75 of them! I probably will always have stuffed animals.

I didn't give mine up voluntarily... it was in a storage unit that I couldn't afford and they wouldn't let me empty until I paid... they threw everything out before I could get to it.

I have a couple on my bed and some up high on shelves in my room. My mom gave me a unicorn pillow pal for my birthday (and a toilet brush...) that is pretty sweet. I named him UNIX because I'm a nerd. Sometimes I find my boyfriend cuddled up with UNIX; it's pretty cute.

Hell, I still have my mangles, chewed up baby Simba from when I waslike 2 years old. Its in my closet but I have a big, adult Simba still in my garage. Its like a stuffed animal that you can use as a puppet cuz it has a flap where you can stick your hand in and move its mouth and arms. I obviously loved Simba as a child. I will never get rid of the baby Simba, probably not the adult one either.

I slept with a stuffed animal until my current partner got jealous. I was about 21ish. Otherwise I'd probably still be sleeping with it. I gave it to my daughter now.

I didn't vote because I quit playing with stuffed animals at a much younger age than 15. In fact, I believe I was around 8 or 9. Some stuffed animals had sentimental value since they were very special gifts so I've kept them around in storage, but I'd never sleep with stuffed animals or decorate my room in them. I don't like getting them as gifts as a grown woman either. I just don't find it 'romantic' I'm the kind of girl who'd prefer getting flowers as a gift. I just don't do the stuffed animal thing, now you can get me a real animal like a cat or hamster as a gift and I'll be the happiest girl alive! Lol. My partner hasn't ever gotten me stuffed animals as gifts thank God he knows I just don't care for them.
