Sunday Morning "Blue Berry Muffins" mix...used in a new way? Do you have any NOT THE SAME OLD WAY recipes?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
I took my old standard "blue berry muffin" mix Sunday morning breakfast (don't do it as much now, since we are in WEIGHT LOSS mode), and used a recipe on the box to make BLUE BERRY BREAD. Toasted it was a whole new flavor and texture. YUMMY.

With eggs and coffee it was SO nice (on a COLD morning).

After our first ever Marathon run, and then an EARLY morning, RED EYE flight home (we just could not stomach airport food...and most vendors are closed at 5am anyway) we are still craving carbs and protein, so we DID indulge in our MUFFIN breakfast (something we have been skimping on as we are trying to diet).

So...anyone else ever "change up" a standard box recipe and do something different with it? What would that be?

I eat the blueberry muffin mix out of the box. I don't cook it at all. I think it's awesome but I'm told that it's disgusting.

I've never done that, but that sounds like a great recipe Yum, blueberry bread. I love banana and zucchini so I bet I'd love that as well.

I usually make my gingerbread mix into cookies. Not the snaps or soft, but kind of like sugar cookies.

One of my friends used to take a pineapple cake mix and add ham and cheese to it for a protein-packed breakfast muffin.

I make Pumpkin muffins by mixing a cake mix with a can of pumpkin and 1/2 c of water. Changing the cake mix changes the flavor. I have used yellow, cinnamon, banana, and butter pecan cake mixes.
