Talk or text?

I prefer a Skype voice call (not video, it'll kill my computer and I don't have a webcam) or talking in person. Text based communication with friends gets boring after a while, and you can't discern body language/mood.

I prefer talking because using other ways like text or facebook seems to really lose the... what's the word I'm looking for? I don't know. Lol! For me and my partner, we made a sort of promise in the beginning of our relationship that we'd never limit our talk to text only or to use text so much that we lose our communication. Does that make sense? It just seems to take the intimacy out of it. We prefer calling each other or talking face to face, but we text each other short things. Almost anytime I text him something, like letting him know to pick up the kids or texting him about my dentist appointment, he'll call instead of text. He says he prefers hearing my voice. How sweet! I'll take it! Lol.

I have never actually texted using my phone. I have very rarely texted on my husband's phone when he was driving and he needed to reply to a friend's text.

i think it depends for who im wanting to communicate with, like with my boyfriend skype is awesome cuz he's all the way across the country, but with alot of my friends i just text them cuz i know ill see em later

I prefer talking. It's easier to have a conversation rather than going back and forth with texting.

I text with almost everyone. There is one person I'm on video chat with all day every day though (for the past year and a half).

I prefer to text unless its a serious convo then I prefer talking.

I don't really care for texting surprisingly. I prefer talk and mainly face to face conversations so yes video chat is the next best thing
