It actually really depends on what's going on and where we are. I don't launch into conversations with strangers without being approached first when I'm alone in public. On the internet? I'll talk to anyone and everyone.

I didn't used to be that way; as a kid I would talk to anyone anywhere at anytime. It was rather frustrating for my mother, but she always told me I'd never met a stranger in my life because they were always willing to tell me something about themselves and I was willing to share.

I do speak to the customer service staff of stores I visit and whatnot and we chat up our waitresses and waiters when we go out to eat dinner, but otherwise I pretty much keep to myself.

I don't really talk to many people, but especially people I don't know. I'm pretty social phobic. I really hate when random people feel the need to talk to me, especially when I give every bit of body language I have to say "leave me the hell alone!"

I keep my distance, mostly because social settings are stressful/very anxiety ridden for me.

In person no I don't really talk to "strangers" I talk to almost anyone online.

I enjoy talking to strangers, since you get to hear all kinds of interesting ideas.
