I use tampons during the day and pads at night... I tend to sleep too much so I worry about toxic shock syndrome if I leave them in too long while I sleep.

Thankfully I don't need either. I have everything but the actual blood flow. Terrible mestrual "symptoms", but that's all. It's due to meds I take for endometriosis. I hate my period. I call it my curse. When I DID have a flow, I used tampons, pad were never enough and I did not like sitting in blood. I don't like how it feels. However, a lot of times, having endo made it very painful to insert even a tampon. I cringe at the thought of what that felt like.

for medical reasons tampons hurt me unfortunately! I wear pads,but sometimes I deal with the pain and use a tampon

Both. I like that tampons don't feel like a diaper, but they make my cramps worse sometimes.

Tampons! I HATE the feeling of pads! I'm the only woman in my family who can wear them without getting cramps though, so growing up, if it was an emergency and I was out of tampons, I'd have to borrow a pad. That's the only time I've used them since I was young--I didn't start using tampons until I was 14 or so, and I'm never going back!
