My Man's tats were 3-D for about a year or more after he got them. Often this is due to a histamine reaction, either to the dye, or simply having a full body histamine reaction (meaning you are having allergies.) It could also be scarring, but often it's a histamine reaction, especially if it waxes and wanes, or sometimes is more or less raised than other times.

My Man's tats have been flat for years, (after, of course, being raised for a while after he was originally inked each time) and he recently got a bad Poison Ivy attack, after clearing some brush from our property. His tats were raised again for days on end, until the Poison Ivy reaction ended.

I love them, hubby has a ton of them and I think they are sexy! I want a couple, but not over the top, I want to get baby feet on my right foot for each child I have in blue or pink with the color of boy or girl.

I have 5. Only one is mainly visible, the rest are usually covered with clothing and are small anyhow. I may get one more and then I'm done. I'm thinking something similar to my avatar on here.

My 3D tattoo actually matches the only one my mom has, it was the first for both of us and our graduation presents to ourselves. She got her masters the same year I graduated from high school so we went together, lol.

A family tattoo for everybody to get sounds awesome.

Where's yours mostly visible?

If I wear hi-tops the only tattoos of mine that are visible are the ones that go around each ankle, and part of the set of wings on my right ankle, lol

It's never fluctuated at all for me after two years, so I'm pretty positive it's not an allergy or anything like that. A scar I got on my toe when I was eight from some glass hasn't faded at all either. I think I just stay scarred. Heck, I have a scar from a scab I picked once a few years back

I honestly couldn't believe she signed for it, since I was under 18 at the time. She was totally cool with the one, didn't mind the second one too much, but after I got my 3rd she started to dislike that I was getting so much ink. After number 6 or 7 she pretty much stopped caring, lol

I wonder if my mom would have ever let me get a tattoo when I was underage. I dunno, she might have. She made me wait to get my ears pierced until I was fourteen just so I could make an educated decision about whether or not I wanted pierced ears forever, so I'm thinking she probably wouldn't have let me get a tattoo before I turned eighteen. She let me dye some of my hair bright pink when I was twelve, but that was probably because it wasn't permanent...

But, lol, I wonder how she'd feel if I got a bunch of tattoos. I'd honestly like to, at least a few more. I just can't really settle on what all I want and I think I concrete decision before I ink it onto myself I think she'd be alright with it; she wants to get a spider web tattooed on her shoulder with a spider hanging down on the top of her boob, lol.

I only have one, but I want more so badly! They just cost too much. I know if I stopped buying sex toys I could save the money, but it would take too long. I can never have that much extra money at once.

I've thought about getting a tattoo, but I want something meaningful in a place that it cannot be seen, if I do. There are a lot of different ideas I've considered for what I might get. I'm just not really set on anything, and there's still a small doubt in my mind about getting something permanently drawn on my body.

She let me do the colors when I was younger too, just because they weren't permanent. I had to wait until I was 16 to get my belly button pierced, and once I turned 18 I started in with more of those too.

You should definitely make sure that you've got a concrete decision made, since ink is definitely so permanent. And make sure it's a good artist. Tattoos losing meaning is always easier when they still look awesome, lol

What's the reasoning behind the spider if you don't mind me asking? It sounds really neat. My mom has said that if she ever gets another, it would be the word 'perfect' on her ass, lol.

Prolly scar tissue then. A histamine reaction would wax and wane. Some people get keloids, (raised scaring) and they are more likely to have non-histamine raised tattoos. Usually the more melanin your skin has (the darker skinned you are) the more likely you are to keloid, but not always.

I keloid like crazy, being Mediterranean.

I love tattoos. I find them incredibly sexy. As well as piercings. I have two tattoos on my lower back, and I'm itching to get more =]

I don't have any other piercings besides the single earlobe ones, but I've always kind of wanted a few more. I'm so flipfloppy, lol.

Yes, I won't get anything I'm not absolutely certain of. I'm 98% positive I'll be getting a fleur de lis on the back of my neck The artist that did my wrist tattoo was good. I definitely think he did a better job on mine than my brother's, though. Lol, yes, it's probably easier to live with it even if you don't care about it anymore if it still looks good.

Oh, my mom has just always really liked spiders. Not the actual arachnids, but decoratively. She has a lot of spider jewelry and stuff. I'm not really sure why that is, lol. I know Halloween is her favorite holiday, but she could just as easily get a pumpkin tattooed on her if that was the reasoning, lol. Haaa, 'perfect' on your mom's ass. That's hilarious My dad keeps joking that he's gong to get a tattoo of a Hershey's Kiss with the little slip of paper out the top of it reading 'Candy is killing me'; my mother's name is candy and my dad is diabetic. He thinks it's a witty joke

LOL, I'm pasty white verging on a kind of sickly green and I have no idea why Something about my mutt heritage; french, native american, english, scotch, irish, etc. There's even a minuscule amount of prussian I'm told I prefer to call myself 'olive toned', but I'm really too pale to get away with that...

Lol, that is a witty joke. My mom's reasoning was that this way if somebody ever said to her "oh what, do you have perfect tattooed on your ass or something?" she could say yes, lol.

I'm thinking about some snowflakes behind my right ear, because I love the winter, my birthday is in January, I'm getting married this coming January, the only thing I don't like about the winter is being cold all the time, lol

OMGLOL, I think that's hilarious!

Ooo, I think that'd be very pretty! LOL, I dislike the coldness of winter, too. Winter in Michigan = not awesome in my opinion. Autumn is my season I always hypothesized that I'd like to get married on November 1st so I could have a nice, traditional, autumn themed wedding and also have awesome Halloween/anniversary parties, lol.

I have four, and some of them are large.

Left upper arm: Lady Guadalupe, in a wreath of roses and sugar skulls.

Left shoulderblade: a sleeping dragon.

Right upper arm: Delirium from Sandman.

Right lower arm: a fairy my daughter drew for me.

And hopefully more soonest.

I love tattoos. All the girls in my house love to go get them together. It is like a girl's day for us. I, personally have 10 in total; both my feet, both forearm, my upper and lower back, my inner calf, and the outside of one of my ankles. They are the best way for so off my own artwork. Now, my mom is very addicted to tattoos. She has a total of almost 30, and she had them done just in the last year.

If you really want one, go for it. I think LIFE would look so cool where you want it.

I don't have any, though I used to think a lot about getting an Ankh on my wrist or my ankle to represent the rough time I went through with depression and my strength to pull through it. It would have meant a lot to me, but I just keep thinking about how awful it's going to look when I'm 50. I've seen my grandfather's tattoos, it wasn't a pretty sight.
