Tattoos: Who has them? Who wants them? Who hates them?

I have a bunch.. got my first when I was sixteen (yikes!), but I don't and will never regret any of them. They're all hard to see, though, which is good for a future doctor :]

I love getting ink. I have 6 tattoos, they all mean something to me, and can be easily covered up for work or whatnot.

I have 2 dragons on either side of my lower back, (not the tramp stamp but on the sides if that makes any sense) one is blue and one is red- because I am a gemini and my chinese zodiac is dragon.

A small flower on my back just under my neck in between my shoulders, that was my first tat and it represents my FREEDOM to be an adult! woo lol

Tinkerbell on my right leg just above my ankle, because I am tinkerbell lol

A stupid flower on my shoulder that I want covered up eventually , or fixed, because I got it in that drunk stage of my life... long story lol

and finally, my favorite one: The dove over my heart with my son's name and birthday on it Self explanatory!

I have a Commodore 64 on my right shoulder blade with my dad's name and birth and death dates on it. It was our first computer and my dad was rather nerdy, and I'm on the geeky side.

I want another, I am thinking about getting an octopus on the other side and having the tentacles winding down my arm a bit but I'm not sure yet.

A C64/tribute tattoo? That is so cool! That was my first computer. I wish I still had it.

And tentacles, too? It seems we share some tastes in common! That sounds like a wonderful tattoo idea.

I do not have tattoos and I do not think I would want one. I am probably one of the most indecisive people in the world, and I would never be able to decide what I would like for all eternity. It seems like a heavy decision. I would have to get one that was hidden for my taste and because of the kinds of photos I am in sometimes. IF I were to get one, though, I would probably design my own or have something small and simple that represents a long time fandom of something. Like a stylized Triforce, the brand from Berserk, a design from inside a Team Ico game, tentacles. If I got multiple tattoos, I would have to have them coexist well. I could not be a patchwork of mismatched things, though that can be interesting.

I want a tattoo of a set of wings on my upperback and two on my lowerback. One dedicating to my girlfriend, and one dedicating to my friend who died.

I love tattoos. I have 5 already, and want more. The only thing is I can't justify spending the money to get one now that I have kids. Where I live they are EXPENSIVE. I paid 60 bucks for a tattoo on my wrist, not very big, not very detailed, no color. When I was in California I got a tattoo (I did my research, I didn't blindly walk into a place and let them poke me with their needles) It covers most of my forearm, is in color and only cost me 45.

I have had my navel pierced (need to get it redone) and I have my nose pierced. I want to get several tattoos. I want a keyhole between my shoulderblades (like I'm a wind up toy) and an anchor on my right upper arm

I have two tattoos... a small flower on my right ankle, and a flower with a name in arabic on my lower back. I got the one on my back when I was younger... I want to cover the name now with another tattoo.

Tat'ing someones name is just the reason to think twice. Just read an article about a starlet that is having 12 tattoos laser off - times and attitudes change - ink just gets blurry!

I have been thinking about getting one for a few years, but haven't acted on it yet, and haven't decided what to get.

I also wonder about health concerns. I read a hair dye warning that said if you had tattoos you might be more likely to react or be allergic to the dye. Why is this -- does anyone know?

I have one. It's a cherry with a music note stem. Cherries(the fruit) have a lot of meaning to me, as does music. So I combined the two.

I hope to get more eventually!

I love tattoos. Of the four that I currently have is the large one on my back a 21 point sun representing the day I got married. The sun because it was the summer solstice. The 3 large points represent the year, 2003, the six larger points the month, June, and all 21 points the day, the 21st.

I love them, but only if it's one or two small neat tattoos, not covering the whole body

On you? I love tattoos. On anyone else? I love tattoos.

I have no tattoos. I don't think I want any tattoos, maybe just to have my brand outlined.

I have four and love them. Hubby and I are looking into getting matching tats, but we want to come up with something that is special and unique to us.

Actually, I was registered with the K9 Assoc to do serial tattoos in dog's ears a few years back. Different rig for that - more like the machines used for cosmetic tattooing.
I have a friend that works at a groomer and they have a dye that they use to draw "tattoos" on dogs' fur. It's non toxic and it lasts a few weeks. She got her boxer done. It was really cool!

I have 4 tattoos. One on each hip, one on my lower back, and one on my left foot. I got my first tattoo shortly after I turned 18 and then just added to the collection. My most recent is my foot which is a clover with a trinity in the middle (hurt like hell). I think if and when I get another tattoo, I will probably get another one on my back, but this time on my shoulder.

With some exceptions.

When My Man got my name tattooed on his shoulder, the tattoo artist said, "If you break up with her, we can turn it into an 8 ball or something. Just come back and tell me. People do it all the time." My Man said, "Even if we break up, which I doubt will ever happen, she is still the mother of my children and the love of my life. She stays there until I am put into the ground."

Sweet.

When he first got the tattoo, he'd show it to (some) people and I'd joke, "I can't leave him now, he said it in ink."

He was in his early 40s when he got that tat, though, so I know he thought it over. He talked about it for years. He waited until our last child was born, so he could include all the kids under my name, in smaller letters.

I love his American Eagle, that one faces me when he's lying on his back in bed. It really turned me on when he came home with the first tat years ago. So hot, IMO.

I spent so many years pregnant and nursing, I have never gotten around to getting one myself.

Glad that the tats work for you. Not my thing - but I realize I'm the minority view on tats - but honestly I'm in the minority on many issues, I'm very comfortable with that.

Love them. I have 9, tops of my feet, wrists, behind my right ear, and on my back. They're all very small and cutesy tattoos. I plan on getting more but no sleeves, or too, too obvious ones.
