Seche Vite is the shhhhhiii . . . haha!

It's really great because you can put it over wet polish and it dries it almost instantly, and it's super, super shiny. Gives you that wet look for days.

That and the Orly bonder keep my polish on for two whole weeks with little to no chipping!

Stop making me want to go buy more nail polish!!!!!!!

Cuz seriously, I was out with my dad a week or so ago and wanted to get some to send to my sister and bought this super awesome looking teal crackle from Pure Ice. I really don't need more. Although I do think I've figured out what I'm going to start doing with the super nice toy packaging that I feel bad throwing out but doesn't do anything but take up space. Hold my nail polish!

No I am a nail bitter, so nail polish takes like crap. Of course you think maybe that would make me stop all I do is scrape off the polish and bite my nails anyways.

I've been trying to suppress a rising nail polish obsession that's been rapidly building because of all kinds of wonderful nail blogs I've been recently Stumbling. Oh sigh. The next time I head into Sally's I just know it's going to be a rough day for the bank account.

I own a ton of nail polishes! Mostly OPI, but I do have some Essie and China Glazes.

Miss Debauchery, I love your pics! I used to go to AllLaqueredUp all the time to look at nail color pics.

I'll speak for my wife and say that she only has a few different bottles.

I'm... planning to get a clear bottle to finish off my new Jaguar cuffs?

I've always found it pretty, but I naturally have short-tending, thin, fragile nails. In contrast my partner has nails that always look manicured no matter what he does with them.

I have just a few. I'm not a huge fan of polish on my fingers. I work with my hands so much they end up chipped in just a few minutes, and I'm not keen on the feeling of it on my fingers. So most of the time they are natural, or with a clear coat. Right now they are a simple, sortof sparkly grey. Don't wear it on my toes often because the polish rubs off on the tatami mats at my dojo, and I don't want to leave streaks of color everywhere.

My nails peel constantly so I own a ton of nail polish but dont use it much. I wish I had long enough, less messed up, nails to do my tips.

We've got about 20-30 bottles sitting around, mostly OPI/Nicole. Love nail polish!

I have about 20 bottles of China Glaze and sadly, they are going to waste now that I have found Shellac nail polish. It does not come off until you take it off! Lasts 3 weeks with NO CHIPPING. I can use cleaning products, do yard work, scrub tubs, floors, etc. and it does not come off, not even after a long hot soak in the jacuzzi.

I didn't know there was a thread like this, or I would have joined much sooner. I love nail polish. I have at least 100 bottles. Most of them are OPI, but I have lots of Zoya, China Glaze, MAC, Chanel, Hard Candy, Butter London, POP Beauty, Borghese, and a couple of Sephora Hello Kitty. I have a wide variety of colors, but I love duochromes and holographics. Glitters and jellies are fun too. I actually blog about nail polish (and makeup and record collecting). I have lots of swatch pictures in case anyone is curious: The Vinyl Word and Other Musings

@ Sam (aka Jul!a), I love your Crackle manicures. I have one bottle of the black Crackle Glaze from China Glaze. They have the metallic ones out now, and I am thinking of getting gold and silver as well.

Holy Hell, I didn't know a thread like this existed! Okay, I am usually a nail biter, but for the last year, I just sorta haven't been biting them and now my nails are really long. Well, they were, but I had to cut them down for the surgery (which was a success!). I LOVE OPI and I wasn't aware of the crackle thing until my mother showed me it in a magazine. I immediately fell in love with it, but I have a feeling I will fail at putting it on correctly lol.

Crackle is easy to apply. You just paint a thin layer over your nail polish and it does the rest. It crackles right before your eyes. You then just seal that with topcoat and you're done.

Thanks! Crackle was super cool when I was like, a freshman in high school, but I didn't get that into it then. I always liked the look and I'm super stoked that it's popular again, if for no other reason than now I can stock up!

I saw this on a blog post from a blog shared here, and had to try it. I don't think it came out too bad, but I'm not sure how happy I am with it either.

Base color is a random green that I really ended up liking a lot from some random set, glitter is Pure Ice. Finally bought and tried the Seche Vite top coat, and I am in love with it.

I love nail polish! I just bought a couple polishes from the China Glaze holiday collection - Glittering Garland and Twinkle Lights. I'm totally addicted to nail polish blogs, which is kind of bad because they just tell me all the things I could be buying. Right now I'm wearing OPI's Rally Pretty Pink, which is one of my favorites!

I NEED this. Where do you get it? Unless I have acrylics or fake nails on, polish just wears off my nails in a day or three.

I got hit with a Biblical-Job like attack of eczema on my fingers about two months ago (you haven't seen my hands much in pics in my reviews for a reason) and had to lay off of polish, nails etc. The plague hasn't healed yet, but I put some polish on and when I tried to take it off, the remover sizzled my fingers. AUGHGHGGHGG! I have short, stubby fingers and my nail chip and break, so without fake nails and or polish, my hands look like a little kid's. It's driving me crazy, not to mention the itching.

When it gets better I'll have to try this Shellac polish (when I can find it) and try the top coat with the crackle glaze.

That sounds awful. Hope you feel better soon. The Shellac is something most of the nail salons here are offering, but CND is the company that makes it. Each step has to be cured under the UV light, but it is really nice!
