The Red Bull Stratus Jump - are you going to be watching tomorrow?

Contributor: Sammi Sammi
Tomorrow morning, Austrian daredevil Felix Baumgartner is out to set a world record or two outside of Roswell, New Mexico. He plans to launch into space in a balloon, get to about 23 miles above Earth, and then free fall (with a parachute at the end) to the ground.

If he's successful, he'll get the record for highest skydive, fastest free fall, longest free fall, highest man in a balloon flight, and he'll become the first person to break the sound barrier (not in an aircraft). If he's not...well....

He should launch between 8-11 am EST, and you can watch it live online at Space.com

So, will you be watching?

High winds are turning this into the most anti-climatic event ever.

Well, he did it!

Interestingly, today is the 65th anniversary of the first supersonic airplane flight, so that's pretty cool

Other - I hadn't planned to watch but my husband turned the tv on and tuned in at about the 2h10min mark so we saw it.

When the camera mounted above him showed us the view below it was beautiful. The space view was so surreal that I turned to my husband and told him that I think I'd have a more difficult time jumping if I wasn't so far up and could see the terrain below.
