On this date in 2003, Eric A. Klein of Mountain View, California received a U.S. Patent for his invention, an “erotic stimulation device” consisting of “a battery powered electric vibrator which attaches to the user’s tongue.” The device is either inserted through a piercing in the tip of the tongue, or “attaches to the tongue using suction, constriction, and friction.”
