I don't really consider 11 and under teen pregnancy, and I don't think it happens really often at say, 9 or 10. I think that at such a young age, a lot of the cases are probably rape, unfortunately. I don't think a child that young has the maturity to process the idea of sex much less consent to it.

Oh dear Lord, under 11?! No that couldn't ever be a very good thing for someone so young. Not saying it's always bad for the person, but surely not the best for an 11 year old. Makes me sad for them. I once read an article somewhere online about an 11 year old giving birth & supposedly, she made it out alive -- her and the baby, but barely. I don't know if the article was true or if it was on a site that's trustworthy, but it did shock me. I know it happens as I have heard of it, but I still think there's much more for an 11 year old than a baby. But everyone does things differently and I'm not saying an 11 year old cannot make a good parent. I don't know one who could, but then again. Things do happen. I just don't think an 11 year old should be having sex! I assume rape is a big reason for pregnancies that young... ? What do I know, though.

Younger than 14 is not a teen pregnancy issue, it is child abuse and pedophilia.
