Isn't it time that some rechargable sex toys had solar cells built into them?

Wouldn't it be great to leave your "clear" or "transparent, colored" vibe on your dresser or near a window and know it would be "sun charged" when you got home that night? We have solar flashlights and calculators. Why not adult toys???

That would be fantastic.

I agree, but a lot of materials get deteriorated by sunlight, especially prolonged sunlight. I'd rather be able to leave the battery cell or some kind of charger in the sun!

I've seen one. I can't remember where or who made/makes it...

You make a good point, but why are all my flashlights and calculators (even my soft, rubber, fold up calculator) fine in the sunshine???

Yes, this would be awesome. I am sure they have something in the making. With all the stuff they come up with these days.

Solar cells are not green. I know a lot of people think they are. If you have ever worked at a solar cell plant, or have studied how they are made; you would not want to replace power sources with solar cells. The toxic waste that is created and left behind is much worse the what power plants create.

I'm not sure where you got your information, but solar power is A LOT "greener" (i.e. less polluting and more sustainable) than conventional energy sources, such as coal or other fossil fuels. Here's a thorough analysis.

It IS true that manufacturing solar cells creates waste, but even considering that, replacing coal with solar cuts air pollution by 90%.

It's a cool idea, but instead of directly powering sex toys with their own solar power, why not get a solar battery charger?

Or you could go whole-hog and get rooftop solar for your house. We looked into it and it will save us a bundle; we're going to do it when it's time to replace our roof.

No - I don't think it makes sense - nor would it be cost effective.

That would be a pricey toy.

I have no desire to leave my sex toys in the window for hours at a time. I'll pass.

I like that idea, I don`t know how the solar chargered toy would work since the most of the solar powered items I own need to be in direct sunlight to work sometimes.

what a great idea. but remember, anything more than batteries adds to the price.

It does sound like a good idea I must admit. The price of it would eventually save on batteries. I have the solar walkway lights at home and while they do show a clear path to the door at night the lights aren't all that strong. I doubt a toy would be able gain enough charge for one use by being solar powered.

Would be pretty cool, I will admit.

Ehh, wouldn't be the best use of resources. Designing them to work with a solar charger that does things like cell phones would be awesome

It sounds cool, but I think charging rechargeable batteries with a solar charger is a better idea.
