Cucumber does work but tea bags work better. Also make sure it's not allergies cuz allergies can give dark circles. I have this problem sometimes and find allergy eye drops helps.

Under eye circles are usually hereditary, due to short term stress like lack of sleep or it's revealing a deeper health issue you should examine like lack of iron.

Personally, cucumbers have never worked for me but there are a few things that did. One was to put warm tea bags, especially if its green tea or any other tea with antioxidants, under your eyes. Do it often. If that doesn't work, you can try taking a metal spoon and sticking it in the freezer and then under your eyes. There are a few products in stores that have a serum or gel in a rollerball container that is great for this purpose. A last resort is to take a slice of tomato and mash it up with turmeric and apply that paste under your eyes. This probably should be the last thing to try.

There's creams you can put under your eye that supposedly help, as well as the home remedies other people are suggesting, but I think most people just try to cover them up with a makeup lighter than their skin.

Now if only there was a way to fix a sunken under-eye area. I was born with a really weird face shape apparently. D:

I'm a girl, and have yet to find a cure for my dark circles which are ever present. I use a really great concealer called Time Balm... I'd recommend it to anyone for dark circles, pimples, etc. It's the best.
