I always kind of wondered how some people decided on their user names. I mean I understand the obvious ones of peoples names but how did you decide yours?



My user name is actually a star wars reference. Originally Luke Skywalkers name was supposed to be Luke Starkiller. And the 87 because of my year of birth. haha I know Im a nerd.

Your user name is really awesome now that I know the history to it!!!

Mine, actually, isn't as obvious, as that isn't my real name

It's a nickname, which I do one day hope to change my name to legally, but I've had it since I was 15, a friend of mine derived it from a show we both used to love to watch. Not too original but I like it more than my real name, because compared to that, it is incredibly original lol.

I knew yours already

I chose mine partly because it's super-prevalent on the internet, more people are googling Julie Christie than are googling me. Beyond that, the scene where Komarovsky gives Lara advice* on who not to marry and why has always struck a deep chord with me.

*euphemism on purpose to avoid triggers for anyone.

My screen name is a mix of my name and a Batman reference. My name is Kat, and in Batman Returns one of the newspaper headlines had "Katastrophe/Cat-astro phe" in it, after catwoman was born (can't remember which it was now). Meow!

In that case, do you know where my user name comes from?

Mine is a Star Wars reference, too. It's from the expanded universe books, and is the name of the ship owned by one of my favoured characters: Booster Terrik.
