I noticed that my new credit card had this (first one, eeek) and I was wondering if anyone found it useful. For those of you who don't know what it is, its a generated account number that's good for one merchant only. This helps with web safety and what not.

I think virtual numbers are fantastic. It's the only way I make online purchases.

I would probably use them if my credit card had the option available for free.

That sounds pretty cool. I'm in a computer forensics and security class that talks about stuff like this all the time, I might have to bring this up.
