I do shop there but I hate it. We have one a few minutes up the road but the place is always packed with people. It's always an ordeal getting in and out of the place and the checkout lines are usually 4-5 people deep.

Yes and No. Sometimes my Wal*Mart has the best sales around, then there are times, like now, where you can't even MOVE because they are redoing the store. Honestly, it took a family member 2 hours to find only 3 things. It was that bad.

I have no issue at all saying I shop at walmart. I get good deals and the same products I would get else where so I see no issue.

I shop at Wal-mart and love it. I love it only because I only shop at 8am on Friday mornings. I don't won't go otherwise. If I do, I hate it. There's one that just opened up that I really like, but that's only because the freaks haven't discovered it yet.

I refuse to shop there. My first problems with them had to do with defective products. Sure, they were willing to exchange them or refund my money — but finally, I just couldn't afford the wasted time anymore.
And then I learned about the EXTREMELY negative effects their labor and sourcing practices are having on US jobs, communities and quality of life. I'm very glad to have alternatives and I'm glad to pay a little more to support local businesses, and to buy US-made products.
However, after factoring in the time I used to spend exchanging defective crap, I think I'm actually coming out ahead, anyway.
And then I learned about the EXTREMELY negative effects their labor and sourcing practices are having on US jobs, communities and quality of life. I'm very glad to have alternatives and I'm glad to pay a little more to support local businesses, and to buy US-made products.
However, after factoring in the time I used to spend exchanging defective crap, I think I'm actually coming out ahead, anyway.

I hate wal-mart. i worked there and its horrible, they treat their employees very badly. I hate that store, The people there are the rude, it has a particular smell about it, everything about that place pisses me off.

For those of you who love their prices but hate their service, or hate something else minor about the stores that doesn't prevent you from shopping there: the reason for the generally low prices is that Walmart sources many things from factories in other countries with very poor working conditions, and sometimes even forced labor--i.e., slavery. THAT is what you're perpetuating and encouraging when you shop at Walmart; not just the killing of small businesses, not just poor treatment of their actual U.S. employees, but slave labor, and probably child labor, in other countries. Please, have a conscience and stop shopping at Walmart.

Walmart is the only place we grocery shop, well pretty much shop period. We live in a small town and walmart's prices beats all the other stores, not to mention its the most convenient and closest to us. We love it!
