Okay, first off, i have terrible OCD. I know we can change names, but the URL doesn't change when a new name is made. This irks me (yeah, it's the OCD).

I decided to drop my 'goth' phase now since, well, I'm done with school, I'm growing up, yadda yadda, and I don't feel so dark and morbid as I used to be. And now, sadly, I have regrets having such a phase (don't we all?), so I'd like to start with a clean slate.

So I guess I have several things to ask:

1) Has anyone ever made a new account to get rid of an old one?
2) Do reviews stay up when an old account is deleted? Forum posts?
3) Will I get in trouble by making a new account even if I delete the old one? (This I want to know the most about.)

I'm not sure if it's still possible, but in this thread (link) Neuron Geek said it was possible to change the URL manually.

You could send in a support ticket or email JR to see if we can still do a manual change like that. If you delete this account, all your reviews go with it and won't transfer to your new account. I think everything stays, but just under that name. I'm not 100% sure though.

Well i asked about it in another thread, about the URL changing, and JR responded with something about broken links...

I know the name i want, and I'd gladly change everything, just the name at the end of the contributor URL isn't changed, and it gets me and others confused and all. I wish there was a system like Steam has, change the last bit of your URL to whatever you want so long as it isn't taken.

Oh touche. I'm not sure if it makes much of a difference at all or not, but I never notice when somebody's screen name doesn't match up to their URL really. However, there's nothing wrong with starting a new account and leaving this one behind if you're ok with losing everything else that tied you to it. At least nothing that I can think of really.

Yeah, there's not much really here, and I don't have time like I used to, just feel like I want a fresh start. Believe me, it's the OCD I have, which is linked to my anxiety and once I think of something I want changed/don't want changed, it will haunt me for months. XD

Thanks everyone, I'll be making a new account soon and then will post of the change so people know who I am.

I wouldn't mess with starting a new account if you're going to lose any reviews or anything else you've accumulated. I'd just change the screen name and call it good. I don't think most people look at URL names much anyway.

If you had any EdenPoints or gift cards affiliated with that account, you'd lose those too.

I used all the points pretty much, and I have very little reviews, I wouldn't mind losing them, so it's okay.
