Competitive video gaming is a new frontier in spectator sports. With a massive following in tournaments like MLG, DreamHack, EVO, and GSL, we are seeing more and more people participate in the viewing of these video games. Have you ever watched a competitive video game tournament on stream?

No, But I met a guy that was a professional gamer at a convention this past summer. Was telling me how his winnings was paying for him and his team to be at the convention. Considering how drunk he was I don't know if any of it was true though.

I've never actually heard of this before. I know they have things for card games like the Magic games and such, but I didn't know they did it for video games. But, it does make sense that they'd have them!

No. One of the great things I love about games is that I can play them myself. With other sports I'm just a spectator - like racing - or just an amateur dabbler - like football and rugby.

Watched, no, but I DID date someone who gamed competitively for awhile. I have been known to watch others play games. Especially the scary ones, like Resident Evil, because the music gets all intense and then I am too stressed to move the character into the obvious zombie attack!
