The only one I do not know about is the Salted Peanuts IN Coca-Cola, but it sounds good.

It's quite popular all over America these days. From what I understand, they are just pickles sliced then coated in seasoned flour and then deep fried. I love pickles and I love to deep dry things, but for some reason it doesn't appeal to me. Snookie on Jersey Shore loves them, though. LOL



Pork rinds are deep fried slices of pig skin.



Boiled peanuts are green (raw) peanuts boiled in salt water or brine, depending on who makes them.



Grits is ground hominey that is boiled and simmered in salted water, usually served with butter and toast or other breakfast items.



A lot of people like to put peanuts in their coke at the ballpark, it's easier.

I had sliders once in Chicago, and found out why they called them that :-(. Of all of those above, I wish I could stomach pork rinds, but they just taste too strange. They aren't too bad when used to make fried chicken coating, though

I am begging my mom to bring boiled peanuts and liver mush in her bags when she comes to visit. I was born and raised in the south. This living up north is killing me. Oh why did I marry a NJ boy.

I haven't heard of these before apart from pork rinds and boiled peanuts.
I dont eat pork rinds.

Psst, you can make them yourself.

A crock pot, and a pound of raw green peanuts and about four hours is all you need. Oh and a metric load of salt. They're soo good.

It took me a few tries to get down with pork rinds. The way they melt was really disconcerting at first. It's kind of like Bugles, either you like 'em or you don't. (I don't but they're fun to use as 'witch nails')

Not the same as the ones from the big pots on the side of the road. Okay maybe more sanitary. But you are right I am going to try and make it myself. Now I have to go find some peanuts.

Real grits are good but most restaurants use the powder ones with water and those are so nasty. Now my mom makes them with shrimp and spices. So yummy.
