What are you doing this summer?

I think I will most likely be spending most of my summer in my office, with my cat and the AC blasting. I know, pretty boring... (right now my big trip plans are in the fall).

We're hoping to move (fun, fun). Our big plans are in the fall too this year

We're house-hunting in an area pretty far away from here, so we'll be taking a lot of day trips to see if the places are as nice as they look in the realty ads.

We go every summer up north to see my family (about a 6 hour drive) and we drink beer, camp, boat, and just have a grand time. This year the trip is planned for the 2nd week of august and I can't wait.

Otherwise, work, pool, hopefully a weekend camping trip or 2 and cold beer

I will be driven crazy from my son be home and no school. lol I hopefully will make a trip to N.Y. though.

The only big plans I have this summer is to go see Metallica in July.

My family and I are meeting my brother and his wife and kids, my sister and her husband, my sister's son and his wife, my parents, my grandmother and my mother's brother and his daughter at the same beach house we all met at last summer. One glorious week in our own beach house with a private pool, two blocks off the Gulf. Other than that, our daughter is going to Tennessee to spend two weeks with my brother and his family and go to camps with their daughters.

Personally, I plan on finding a new job, taking a friend up on the offer to watch the baby during the day and studying my ass off this summer. I'd like to save a bit of cash and change a few things around here.

I'm gonna try and spend a week with my sister this summer, but otherwise I have lots of car shows and stuff like that planned.

Well, I'm going to be working. I may get some medical things done, which is exciting, who knows. But that's basically it, lots of work and classes.

We signed my son up for a marine ecology camp on the Oregon Coast, so we're making a family vacation out of it. After his camp, we'll go to the Redwoods in northern California and then Oregon Caves on the way home.

I also have a week-long photo trip scheduled for the Oregon Cascades and northern California for early August.

In between, I need to finish rebuilding our deck, paint the house (it hasn't been painted in probably 25-30 years, so a ton of prep work needs done), and hopefully build the water feature in the back yard that I've been putting off for 4 years.

Day Trips, Cantigny (we'll bring the little one and a friend to climb on the tanks, and I get to see the McCormick mansion again) the Zoo (we have to renew our membership) various museums. Maybe a weekend for the Man and I (if we can afford it) lots of trips to the library, and I hope to do some writing. Also, working in the garden and maybe day camp for the little one.

My Man is going with some buddies who have a trip planned through their church. They are going to help a Native American Tribe out West, where they will help build a Community Center and improve the plumbing and electricity access on the Rez.
