What do YOU listen to on the radio, assuming you use the radio, on your way to work or school in the morning?

My wife always has to have her oldies music fix on the way to work in the morning. I listen to news talk to catch up on the world events and financial issues on my way into work. This week we have to share a car, as our other one is having work done for three days and it was not worth getting a loaner.....SO,. we realized that since we listen to vastly different things, whoever does NOT get their normal "listening" in, seems to start their day in a bad funk.

SO...what do YOU listen to in the morning, heading to work or school? If you cannot listen to that (perhaps car pooling?) does it in any way "throw off" the rest of your day?

There is a specific station that I listen to, it's a mix of what is popular, I guess it would be R&B, hip hop, punk, and maybe some rock? I am terrible with genres But I mostly listen to that station for the DJ. He is hysterical.

I listen to NPR for a while and then switch it up to rock music for the rest of the day.

I don't ever listen to the radio. There are too many commercials. I hate whining, screaming, nagging and shitty noise coming from anywhere. I actually fairly hate radio. Years ago, you could put on a nice Classic Rock channel and hear... music. Now, all you hear are commercials with whiney men and nagging women and screaming about things others want you to buy.

My husband listens to radio that I refer to as "Sports Shouting." All it is is a bunch of guys yelling about what I can only infer is sports. It's ridiculous.

I have my iPod. I plug it into my radio and plan my own program.

The Playboy Morning Show on the way to work and Tiffany Granath on the way home from work, for my husband. I would listen to CDs when I was working outside the house.

I'm a station flipper. About the only requirement is that it be a song I can fairly tolerate, rather than a talk show, commercials, or DJ chitchat.
