What does he-she do to make you fall in love again, to make you think of them when they're gone... what are you favorite things about him-her?

for me, it's his constant considerations. he calls me when he's away, he comes running when i need him, he's always thinking of things to do for me. he brings me flowers. he cooks me meals. brings me breakfast in bed sometimes and cooks us dinner. because he holds my head to his chest when we sleep and when we kiss and when we make love he kisses my shoulders and my legs and my feet as if i were the most precious body in the world.
because he always wants to see me. because of his silly laugh. because of how close and comfy we are. because of his commitment to me. because he is so strong and makes me feel at homeand safe and protected. because he wants to protect me.
the way he loves and plays with my cat even though he's a dog person. the way he calls me beautiful every day. how he never says my name, but replaces it with 'sweetie.'
how strong and smart he is. his tattoo, the coolest one i've ever seen.
how respectful he is of his family and considerate he is of strangers.
the thrash metal he listens to in his car. how different we are.

the way his armpits smell when he doesnt wear deodorant and works all day outside.
how he so rarely gets angry. how patient he is with me.
how every time i want to throw it away he sits down and listens and he says just what i need to hear and i feel safe again and wonder if we'll ever get rid of eachother. and think. naw. not likely.

how handy he is, how sexy it is when he's fixing my truck or working on his bike. his sincere interest in my poetry and my art. his pursuit of creating a painting together.

his silky skin and the way we just fit together and feel so right in bed. his half closed eyes in the morning and how he looks sweetest, cutest when he first wakes up.

how giving he is.

I'm in a fairly new relationship.

I stay because he knows when to give me crap. I'm a huge pusher and he knows when to "push back." I love being able to harass someone and them be able to harass me back (in a playful funny manner).

In the end, he wakes up in the middle of the night when I'm scared (I've come home with the roommates gone and the door wide open). Puts up with me when I'm being a PITA and gives me space when I need it (and knows when I don't need it).

It's all the little things. He lets me sleep in when he knows I'm tired, lets me try all these toys and things with him, gets up early to go work out with me because otherwise we both make excuses and don't exercise at all, he fixes my car in the driveway, he helps my friends without me asking, he holds me when I'm in a bad mood, does whatever he can to cheer me up, and does every little thing he can to make me smile. I know he has his flaws, but so do I and I couldn't ask for anymore more perfect for me.

I stay because I love him. And because he loves me.

Because he and I have similar (although not identical) ethics and plans for life.

Because we have 3 beautiful daughters together.

He often knows the absolutely PERFECT thing to do in bed, before I even know I want it.

Because he will try anything I suggest in bed, and I will too.

Because he is willing and able to support a family. I think some think that's an "old fashioned" way of looking at things. But, the number of my friends who have repeat offender unemployed boyfriends and husbands (this was before the Recession, too) and they, the women are stuck with all the responsibility and the kids suffer because of this. He KNOWS he's responsible, and he may complain about it from time to time (which I think is silly, we each have our roles) but he does it anyway.

Heaven knows who would put up with either one of us?

He's willing to work on our marriage, and work hard to make it work. (I am also.) Without that work, it wouldn't have lasted.

He brings me Score candy bars after work, when we've had sex that morning. I have about 7 or more Score candy bars sitting on the ledge over the stove all the time. I can't keep up with all that candy. Sometimes he says, "I SCORED!" (he's a grown man, I swear) other times, he just comes to me and puts in into my bra.

Because I love him. He loves me, too. Did I already say that?
