What Gaming Console Is Worth The Investment?

Contributor: Upyourreviews Upyourreviews
Off the sex topics, I am saving up for a new gaming console and so confused which I should buy. So far I have a PS2 & a 3DS... I'd love an oldschool Nintendo and Super Nintendo, but let's disclude those for this conversation.

Which newer system do you think is the best to invest in and why? Any you would immediately say no to?

They're all flawed in some way, but the PS3 in my house sees a lot of use — streaming movies, Blu-Ray player, media server, game console.

Agreed, but personally I'm voting for the PS3 because it can do all that it does.. We own 4 of them and I think they are worth it.

Personally I like my 360 because it has a lot titles I like. I am huge RPG player. I also use it for netflix, watching DVDs and radio FM. A Ps3 would be nice for the blu ray player but doesnt have the same titles as the 360. The Wii is great if you like to causal, button mashy games and has some expectional titles for party games. The Wii you can play netflix on but not Dvds.

I'd say hold off until the holiday season when the Wii U comes out. I had the opportunity to test it out in NYC the other day and I can say firsthand that it's very very awesome. It's Nintendo's first true HD console and they've definitely made the most of it. The games look absolutely gorgeous, the controller is very comfortable and amazingly light, it will be compatible with all Wii games, and it has the reliability and support of being a Nintendo system. Plus, being Nintendo, it should be reasonably priced at launch.

A PS3 is cool too, but I definitely recommend waiting for the Wii U.

Heh, I'd hold off until the holiday season regardless, since hopefully prices will drop on older consoles as each company tries to put out the new best thing. I'd say PS3 just because of how many other things it can do, but look into what games are available. If you like games that are x-box exclusive, makes it simpler to decide

The only reason I haven't gone for an xbox is how they do sizing and pricing. It makes me pretty angry with the company.

I've always been a Playstation girl. We have a PS3 and we love it. We have it hooked up to wifi and we have Netflix! It also plays blueray dvd's. We have a bunch of games for it. We have Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Tomb Raider Underworld, Alice, ect ect.

If you're more into wii games I guess I'd suggest the wii if that's what you're into. I'm more of a solo player and not really into the cartoony/wave the remote around games. I think it all depends on what games you want to play the most though. I'm more of a solo player that likes to play games in the dark all night so PS3 is for me. Never had an x-box and don't care for one.

I'd suggest waiting for the holidays too. You might be able to snag a good deal and get games too. =]
