What the f is pinterest? I see it everywhere but I dunno what it is or used for. It looks kinda like tumblr to me.

It's a virtual "pinboard" of sorts. You can create different boards and pin links to various websites that show up as pictures. It's usually used to hoard recipes or inspiration for weddings/home decor/wardrobes etc.
