What is the highest income you can imagine yourself making?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
What is the highest income level you think you would aspire to? What income level, in your happiest dream, could you envision yourself at?
Then the big question; are you working towards making that "dream" a "reality"?

Just asking.

I feel pathetic saying this, but I'd like to get to where I make $25k a year. I barely even make half that most years. Yes, I'm single, but you know... I have bills, too.

I hope to go to law school so I think $100,000 is pretty good for that career path.

I could make a fortune if I wanted to work myself to death or was willing to cut moral corners. I make enough as it is, so I don't feel the need to push it.

Beyond a certain amount, more money doesn't make you happier anyway.

Income is not my primary motivator in life.. But since you asked about numbers, I think 100K, even combined, would give us a good life.

I'm not sure exactly what career I want yet, but I can't see myself making over $100,000 a year (nor would I really want to).

We had it really, really good when we had an income of $150,000 per year. I would like to get back to around that level again, but will be happy to just not stress about the bills anymore!! Our level went to about $16,000-20,000 when the economy crashed. We are slowly bringing it back up.....

I currently only make 39k a year but my job pays for classes for my job or college at the state university so I'm going back to college soon

I currently make such a small income that my family is considered impoverished (single mom, full-time student, part-time worker, and NO child support). However, we have our own place (income based) and don't really do without. Still, I'd like to be able to support the two of us without government assistance, so hopefully my education at least takes me to 23,000 (what I've estimated we could survive on with frugal living yet not from paycheck to paycheck). I can see myself with my Bachelor's degree making somewhere around the 60,000 area someday if I stay positive.

Ideally, if I could get back to working in my field instead of a retail job, and work my way up to making $50,000 a year, I'd be an insanely happy camper. I was making $30,000 at one point a few years ago, and I'd be ecstatic just to get back to that actually.

I also checked "more than a hundred million" because there has been a long running joke between me and my husband about winning the lottery and how much we'd need to take care of all our issues and live comfortably forever and the magical fictitious number is always $82 billion. One of us pulled that number at random, and it's just stuck as the impossible amount we know we'll never see, but it would sure be nice.

I'm not comfortable saying the income level that I'm aspiring to, but it's definitely attainable that I could make $100,000 a year in the next few years. That would be an awesome life.
