A) Has sex for money (correct term, selling themself lol)
B) Has sex a lot more than the normal person, and brags about it to make themselves a sex icon. Usually these people know they are whores and just don't care.

It is a word that tends to be used incorrectly. Basically it's a derogatory term for a prostitute. From dictionary.com:
'a woman who engages in promiscuous sexual intercourse, usually for money; prostitute; harlot; strumpet.'
Personally, I much prefer strumpet. Or crumpet.

I was called this throughout high school as well even as a virgin. I was also called a whore the other night by my ex because I wouldn't give him information on what I was doing with my life since he left me. I have never had sex for money an never could.
