Ours is plastic, we got it when the old wooden one my mom's bf had split right in half.
I don't really like wooden cutting boards anyway, most are too big for the microwave and wood can harbor germs from raw meat and such.

I use a plastic one because it can go in the dishwasher. I have a glass one that's used for raw meat only.
